"Life goes on as it never ends..."

Well... "Life goes on as it never ends..."  So goes the song by Backstreet Boys. I must admit, it means a lot to me and i have a lived a different life.

But as time has moved on, I have learned quite a few things. I live in a house with some of my oldest and truest friends (not all of these are permanent residents) and have learned from them. I have been an outsider with most of the people around me being in that i think a lot different from them but I also learned that relating with the gen. pop. of this world you must stand above all the rest.

Not being a pompous ass, likes of which is one of my friends (and yes he IS my friend), nor being a quiet snob or a door mat... These are things a man must avoid o be welcomed to the top. I must admit, I have lived being a mat to others so as to avoid confrontation because I have a flip switch temper. (which means I don't display anger a little at a time, I just explode).

Lessons i have learned recently...
1. Don't live depending on the community you are in to take care of their individual reponsibilities
People will always leave their responsibilities till the last moment, and then attempt to dump them on others or blame others for them. An example would be keeping a community house clean - If you live with someone and you keep your stuff out of the way you will still be blamed for the whole room being a mess. To avoid - be a bigger man and clean the whole room or house and then smile at the cleanliness of the environment then make a case first against the other for making a mess if you absolutely need to.

2. Make your case known before it begins to piss you of f and be an ass if the need arises.
People will always step on each others toes so when it happens to you, tell him/her off politely and let them know you don't like it. Do this wit all respect and dignity. So when you decide to blow... you have the right to bring down the roof.

These with your shoulders back and head high no matter what should earn you the deserved respect from those around. It ain't easy... I know this first hand. But "Live goes on as it never ends..."
